Metal Chennai is proud to present permanent vacation, our new IP for Indie artists.
Over the last 8 years working with artists, we realized most independent musicians in India live a double life. They work regular jobs, meet responsibilities, and carry on with everyday life.
Music is their escape AKA Their Permanent Vacation.
Permanent Vacation is a celebration of independent artists making original music. A space to chill out, forget real life stress, discover new voices, and enjoy music the way it was meant to be heard.
The first edition of permanent vacation features the return of 3 of Chennai's most Prominent indie artists to the bigger stages after a long hiatus:
Featuring:
Stevie – One of Chennai's standout indie singer-songwriters, known for blending indie pop, alternative rock, R&B and electronic influences into energetic, heartfelt live sets. Signed to OAF records, Stevie returns to the big stage with his band.
BIGSAM – Bringing honest indie soul and pop-rock with memorable hooks and powerful storytelling, BIGSAM has become a familiar name in Chennai's independent music scene. Big Sam reached the big leagues in the last few years, touring as Kaber Vasuki's guitarist.
Spotlight – Returning to the stage after a break, Spotlight are back with their signature alternative sound and fresh original music. Don't miss their long-awaited return show.
