About this event

ARE FRIENDS ELECTRIC

The third edition of our new listening sessions takes us back to a time when electronic music didn't really exist yet.

Before synthesizers became instruments, before drum machines found the dancefloor, there were laboratories, wires, tape machines, oscillators and people making sounds that nobody had quite heard before. We’ll follow these strange experiments as they slowly escape the laboratory into films, pop records, television, psychedelia, prog, krautrock, disco, ambient music and eventually the machines that would change popular music forever.

Hosted by Vidyuth & Ashwin, this session will move through three decades of electronic music, following the strange (and happy) accidents, inventions and obsessions that turned electricity into a musical language.

And because listening is more fun when you're actually somewhere else, we're transforming the room into another universe for the evening - with sound, visuals and an environment built to make you feel like you've stepped inside the music ft Television dust

Come curious. Come with open ears.

This is nothing like anything you've been to before.
